Untouched

Coding x Design

Untouched is a sculptural lighting piece designed to create a mesmerizing effect. It invites viewers to interact with touch, and quickly responds with consequences.

Construction

A simple form and medium was used so that the focus could draw on the coding aspect of the design. An Arduino circuitboard was used to code the LED lights to react to touch stimulation. Copper tape was used as the conductor for the stimuli, intending for viewers to interact with it.

Interactive Nature

The piece invites viewers to interact with it, asking them to engage with the project and see what happens. When touched, the rainbow quickly disappears with a wave of white washing over the once-beautiful scene, very loosely representing the consequences that humankind enacts on our precious Earth.
